Plas Rhos Bed and Breakfast Hotel Accommodation, Rhos on Sea, Colwyn Bay, Conwy, North Wales

Colin and Susan have been running Plas Rhos since July 2002 following the sale of their last hotel which they ran for 9 years in the Derbyshire Peak District. As a next step in their careers, both wanted a quality Bed & Breakfast business by the sea; and as keen sailors with a great deal of knowledge of the North Wales coastline, Rhos on Sea was an obvious choice.

Originally from Liverpool and a Dental Nurse and Florist, Susan is utilising her experience in Restaurant and Housekeeping Management to continue the excellent reputation of Plas Rhos. She has recently used her flair in interior design to refurbish the ‘Bay View’ room to a romantic Honeymoon Suite with ‘half tester’ bed and antique furniture.

Colin is from Haydock in Lancashire and has extensive experience in the Leisure and Hotel Industry as General Manager of large establishments in the Manchester area and in southern England. Originally a trained school teacher, he has also worked as a Sports Director for the US Army in Germany for many years where both their adult sons were born.

Susan is also a keen and accomplished cook who prides herself in producing mouth-watering breakfasts, all made from local produce.

Colin likes to spend most of his spare time on his boat and sea fishing.
